His life began in New Delhi, India where he completed his schooling. Sonali is the elder sister of Sanjeev Nanda whom he adores. Also, he holds his childhood relationships in a very high relationship. He shares a friendship with a higher relationship, which can be gauged from the fact that his elder sister is married to a friend from his childhood days.

When it comes to school, Sanjeev Nanda was more than an average student and was fond of tennis. Prior to his knee injury, he represented a tennis academy in various tournaments. After completing his schooling, he decided to go abroad to complete his college degree, for which the US and UK, where his favorite places are. While applying, he decided to apply to well-established colleges in the US as well. After completing his BSc in Economics, he applied for a dual degree in Economics and Finance which he successfully completed.

Once he completed his education, he came back to Bombay and worked with Barclays Capital as well as ANZ Grindlays Bank in Delhi. However, the entrepreneur inside him urged him to do a business. Soon he started a website development company with three other friends, but unfortunately the business disbanded.

In the year 2001, his family joined a partnership with Commerce One, a NASDAQ listed company in California. Sanjeev got the opportunity to play the role of marketing manager at C1 India and worked with his California counterpart to start his B2B venture in the country. He soon took over the company's sales division in Delhi and Bombay for the firm and was successful in securing large orders for the company at that time.

In 2002, Sanjeev Nanda decided to fulfill his ambition of obtaining an MBA degree. He scored a remarkable 720 in the GMAT after which he applied and went through Columbia. But circumstances in India did not allow him to fulfill his ambition. His family expanded their business in the hospitality industry and bought 'The Clarius Hotel' in Delhi. In 2003, Sanjeev worked under the expert guidance of Mr. Sunil Juneja, who was also a part of the team at the time and Sanjeev was fast enough to learn about the hospitality industry under his guidance.

Surprisingly, despite facing initial hurdles, Sanjeev Nanda did not give up hope of completing his MBA and went to INSEAD in January 2004. After his return, The Claroj was in a difficult position as it had lost its CEO and Sanjeev in 2005 and took over that responsibility. The hospitality chain expansion prompted him to buy the 'Sea Rock Hotel' in Mumbai, which he later sold to the Taj group in 2008. After identifying a property close to Delhi, Sanjeev Nanda launched 'The Claraws'. , Surajkund in 2008.

In 2009, Sanjeev's personal life took a fortunate turn and he got engaged to his 5-year-old long-time girlfriend Medha Bhatnagar. They got married in March 2010. The couple is blessed with two beautiful daughters and the family currently resides in Dubai. Becoming an entrepreneur is not an easy task, but Mr. Nanda has succeeded in striking the right balance between professional and personal life. He has a special bond with all the members of his family and understands the value of family in a person's life.

Apart from being an inspirational entrepreneur, Mr. Nanda is also a socially conscious person. He was the main man behind mobilizing the women of Banjani village to develop an entrepreneurial group of their own. It is a small village in Himachal Pradesh where about forty one families live. The village lacked basic facilities and there was no source of income for the people. However, under the guidance and leadership of Sanjeev Nanda, Mahila Ekta Group was formed, which completely revolutionized the lives of village women. As a business idea, the women of the group focused on establishing a home-based paper and cloth bag industry in the village. His business has improved in leaps and bounds over the years and Mr. Nanda was the one who provided all material and logistics support to the group during the initial stages. Implementing the work of Medha Nanda, wife of Sanjeev Nanda, also visited the brown jam factory for group members to interact with Lynette Musharan, the founder of Bhuira Jams.

In the year 2010, he established a hospitality-consulting firm in Dubai and its primary focus was to establish its presence in Dubai and The United Kingdom. His latest venture includes him in partnership with well-established entrepreneur Alan Yau in the restaurant industry, who founded Michelin-Star award-winning restaurants such as Hakasan and Yotha.
